Newbie. Which software to use?
Just picked up a 101.  First time to try the 3d printing.

What software would be good for a newbie.  I have some previous design software experience from an engineering class but it has been a while.

For now I want to design some parts that will have holes and female threads.

Fusion360 is fairly good and it's also free for private users. It can do threads etc and if your familiar with other software it can be set up several different ways

Thanks.  I downloaded Fusion and I find it to be useful.  We will see how the first printed object comes out.  I designed a carburetor spacer for fogging propane into a small engine.
